Mini light inside glass bottle- Art project advice?
Hello everyone, I was hoping to make a hanging small light inside a crafted design inside a big glass bottle if that makes sense xD So I have a bottle with a cork its about a 10 inches tall x 4 inches wide. Next is to get a small glowing purple light of some sort that can be hung from the middle of the bottle [I was thinking a small hanging lamp cord could work if I drilled a hole through the cork, with a small purple bulb]. Last I need to craft a small design to go around the small light, can be out of anything as long as the light can shine through and its Not a fire hazard [My main concern about this project]. Anyways let me know your ideas of how to make this possible, all I have now is a bottle and will be willing to buy whats necessary to complete this!

Go to Radio Shack and tell the guy what it is you’re building. He’ll hook you up with a purple led that will draw much less juice. burn cooler and last longer than a bulb. They’ll have everything you’ll need there to build your project except maybe the bottle. The LED is a very cool little device both figuratively and literally. No fire hazard here. They also have the wire, battery holder, and switch. Another great place is Fry’s Electronics. They will have all you need as well, if you have one nearby. We have them in California, but I’m not sure how many there really are elsewhere. Good luck.
